A truly sustainable sneaker. The Golda focuses on creators, crafters, and remakers.

Customization.
Craft.
Revitalization.

You’ll find the beginning of a pair of shoes in this box. Just the parts. You’ll need to either assemble the shoes yourself or find someone who can help you. If you want an assembled pair with no glues, we have that as well. But this is the beginning of something different.

We hope you try to build them yourself. Or you find a shoe repair shop that can help you build what’s in the box. Or we hope you find some other materials and experiment for yourself

Just like the assembled Golda’s we won’t be taking refunds or returns. We want to see what you create. The first time.

And the second time.

And the third.

The Golda from NinetyNine Products is a thoughtfully designed shoe that emphasizes both sustainability and cultural significance. Designed by Britney Hand under the vision of Jeffrey Alan Henderson and the AndThem Creative agency, the Carver embodies a balance between high-quality craftsmanship and expressive style.

Britney Hand studied fashion design at FIT after beginning her career in Psychology from Temple University.

“This project began with a roundtable discussion for Kyrie Irving, a client transitioning from Nike to Anta. We evolved the concept of an indigenous moc with a cupsole without the use of glues. The idea was to build a shoe that could easily disassembled.

With Kyrie’s blessing and support we launched the Golda as both a finished concept and parts that a customer could assemble on their own. Kyrie wasn’t comfortable with the idea that the millions of pairs of shoes he was selling would spend most of their earthly existence in a landfill.

Sustainability isn’t just a list of ingredients in a product. Sustainability is also consumer behavior - from shopping locally to thrifting.” - AndThem

The name Golda references Mary Golda Ross, an Indigenous American engineer at NASA.

Good luck.
